The Demirtaş Organized Industrial Zone is one of Turkey's largest organized industrial zones, with 439 companies operating, serving as a major hub for textiles and automotive industries. The industrial zone experiences significant vehicular circulation, particularly as it serves as a center for textiles and automotive industries. The municipality issues new permits for the active industrial zone, contributing to the continuous growth of the Demirtaş Organized Industrial Zone.

Considering that all transportation within the Demirtaş region is provided from within the organized industrial zone, traffic congestion becomes a significant issue, especially during shift hours. While a substantial portion of this heavy traffic utilizes the highway, the lack of direct access from the industrial zone to the highway results in a considerable increase in traffic and congestion on the access ways. This situation leads to significant time losses for the users of these ways.

In order to alleviate the traffic congestion, a completed pedestrian overpass bridge is located north of the industrial zone and on the main body of the highway. To address the traffic issue, the plan is to convert the existing pedestrian overpass bridge into an intersection with additional branches, facilitating access to the highway directly from the industrial zone.
